Media Preferences: Driftwood Sculpture
I am a recently retired elementary teacher and have moved, with my wife Anne, from the Kitchener area to a lovely spot in Port Albert. It has been a dream come true to live on the shores of Lake Huron.
I have no formal art training or background and this is my first venture into the “art world”. I enjoy exploring the beaches and the amazing driftwood that the lake provides. I decided to put pieces together in an interesting fashion.
The abstract nature of my sculptures lends itself to a wide variety of interpretations. This is one reason that I hesitate to label or title my work. The unique nature of this medium allows for either indoor or outdoor display.
I am looking forward to the opportunity of being involved with the
Goderich Art Gallery.
